We're pleased to announce that we're planning to bring back our popular Nautel Technical Workshops this November.
These hands-on sessions are designed to provide a deeper understanding of Nautel transmitters, covering configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and best practices. They also offer an excellent opportunity to discuss your specific technical questions directly with a Nautel expert.
We're currently finalising locations and dates, with workshops planned in several cities around Australia. If you're interested in attending, we'd love to hear from you.
Sonifex have recently announced that several of their AoIP interface products are entering a new generation, with the introduction of the Generation 2 Multi-Channel Analogue and Digital AoIP interfaces.
These have been designed to enhance performance and expand functionality in response to evolving customer needs. As part of this transition, the Generation 1 interface range will be phased out. With stock levels now limited and subject to change, we recommend planning accordingly - the Generation 2 range will fully replace these earlier models.
Improvements include variants that natively support RAVENNA/AES67 AoIP, as well as variants for Dante, XLR or terminal block connectivity options, all with a USB-C backup power input for if/when PoE is unavailable. PoE power and data redundancy are now offered as standard features. Explore More >
Nautel XR3 installed on Thursday Island for Torres Strait Islanders Media Association (TSIMA)
We're pleased to see another successful Nautel installation completed, with BAI Communications recently commissioning a new Nautel XR3 transmitter for TSIMA's Meriba Wakai Radio 4MW on Thursday Island.
The project forms part of a wider broadcast infrastructure upgrade that has already delivered significantly improved AM coverage and audio quality across the Torres Strait, with listeners on Saibai Island, approximately 150km from Thursday Island, reporting noticeably clearer reception.
Congratulations to BAI Communications and TSIMA on delivering an important project that will help provide reliable broadcasting services to Torres Strait communities for many years to come.
